Trials Overview
The Trials system in ARC Raiders offers a set of repeatable challenges designed to test your combat skill, map knowledge, and resource management. Each Trial tier features unique objectives, enemy compositions, and extraction conditions that require a sharp, adaptable loadout.
Trials is unlocked after reaching character level 15. They are weekly tasks that refresh each Monday.
Trials escalate in difficulty through modifiers such as tougher ARC units (Queen or Matriarch), collecting special resources, dealing damage to certain ARC units, and more. Understanding these modifiers, and preparing accordingly, is the key to consistent success. New players should start with lower tiers to learn encounter pacing, while experienced raiders can push higher-level Trials for maximum efficiency.
Trials Leaderboard
Depending on when you unlock your Trials, you will be placed in a leaderboard with 99 other players. In this leaderboard, players are ranked by their Personal Best Rank points in each Trial, combined.
Your place in the leaderboard serves as bragging rights, but it also serves another purpose. If you are placed in the bottom 40, you will remain at your current rank. If you've just started playing, that will be Rookie I. Staying between 60 and 31 will promote you to the next rank, which in this case would be Rookie II.
Staying in the top 30, though, will get you a 2x promotion, taking you straight to Rookie III. This leaderboard lasts for the entirety of the current season.
Trials Ranks
In Trials, you start each week from Rookie I rank and then climb the ranks by completing the weekly challenges. In each rank, you're placed in a leaderboard of 100 people. Here are all the ARC Raiders Trials ranks:
- Rookie I-III
- Tryhard I-III
- Wildcard I-III
- Daredevil I-III
- Hotshot
- Cantina Legend (Top 100 players)
Climbing to the highest rank takes serious time and effort. Keep in mind that completing the challenges doesn’t stop you from gaining score. You can continue racking up points to climb to the number 1 spot. There are numerous benefits to doing that. Let’s discuss them in the following section.

Trials Rewards Explained
There is a total of 14 ranks in Trials. In order to reach the next rank, you have to get to the top 60 of your current rank. If you climb to the top 30 of your rank, you'll get 2X Promotion. That means if you're Rookie I, you'll jump straight to Rookie III.
To gain ranks, you have to reach 4000 points on a card, thus getting a 3-star rating. A good thing is that if you do the Trials in a party, all players earn the score. If you can do the Trials in a group of 3, you'll be able to do them much, much faster. ARC Raiders Trials rewards you with Uncommon, Rare, and Epic quality loot.
There are unique rewards, like skins, items, blueprints, and more. In order to access the highest tier of rewards, you'll have to max out this week’s Trials. Do the trials on major map modifiers, such as Night Raid, EM Storm, etc. Doing the Trials on such maps doubles the points gained. If you don't do the Trials on modified maps, you will not be able to climb to the top of the rank before the season ends.

Tips & Tricks
Trials might seem a daunting process at first, but knowing the best tips & tricks to get around the map and maximize objective points will help you out in climbing the ranks and maybe even get to that secluded Top 100 player leaderboard. We believe these tips & tricks will help you out in achieving your Trials goals:
- Always pre-craft before dropping — Enter with bandages, shield rechargers, ammo, and grenades; Trials punish unprepared runs.
- Use one long-range or high-burst weapon — A Tempest, Osprey, or Renegade for long-range, and Bobcat, Volcano, or any shotgun for closing fights.
- Route your objectives before moving — Open the map, plan routes, and avoid dead ends; efficiency beats aggression.
- Use verticality to break enemy AI — Jumping to higher ground often forces ARC units to reposition, giving you free time to reload and heal.
- Extract early if things go wrong — Trials reward clean success more than over-risking for extra points. A safe extract beats a failed run.
- Adapt to map modifiers — If healing is limited, bring mobility. If enemies hit harder, bring a heavier shield. Mutators should shape your loadout accordingly.
Conclusion
Mastering Trials in ARC Raiders is all about efficiency, consistency, and smart decision-making. With this guide, you now understand how Trial ranks work, how rewards scale, and how to approach each challenge with a clear plan instead of chaos.
