The Palace of the Dead is available once you complete "The House That Death Built" quest.
HOW TO ACCESS PALACE OF THE DEAD
Players can enter Palace of the Dead by speaking with "Wood Wailer Expeditionary Captain", located in "Quarrymill". When entering as a party, only the party leader can start the instance. It can also be entered with a cross-world party.
Entering the Palace of the Dead has the following requirements:
- Party size is up to four players.
- To complete floor 51-100 — Players are required to complete floor 50 and the quest "What Lies Beneath".
- Floors 101-200 — Players are required to be in a fixed party.
PALACE OF THE DEAD DEEP DUNGEON DIFFICULTY
The Palace of the Dead is a tough instance with powerful bosses, emphasizing its difficulty. It can be particularly difficult to find a skilled team to navigate through strong bosses and complex mechanics.

HOW TO GET THE BLACK PEGASUS MOUNT IN FFXIV?
To unlock the Black Pegasus mount, you must complete the Palace of the Dead Deep dungeon above floors 71-100. Upon saving progress and exiting Palace of the Dead, you can exchange Platinum-haloed Sack treasure to Confederate Appraiser at Crick in The Ruby Sea (X:21.3, Y:9.2) and have a chance for the Black Pegasus mount.
WHY DO YOU NEED AETHERPOOL IN FFXIV?
Aetherpool weapons, utilized in the Deep Dungeon, Palace of the Dead, can be upgraded through silver coffers, enabling the acquisition of more potent arms such as Padjali or Kinna.
HOW TO GET KINNA WEAPON IN FFXIV?
To acquire Aetherpool weapons for use outside PotD, head to E-Una-Kotor in South Shroud. Convert Aetherpool Levels into Grips, with one Grip for every 10 levels. A Padjali Weapon costs 3 Grips; for a Kinna Weapon, trade a Padjali plus 6 more Grips, totaling 90 Levels for Kinna. This exchange includes your Aetherpool, resources, and gil for the Kinna weapon.
