HOW TO GET THE REINS OF THE AZURE DRAKE MOUNT?

  • Defeat Malygos: The first step to obtaining the Reins of the Azure Drake mount is to defeat the formidable boss, Malygos, in the Eye of Eternity raid. This raid is located in Northrend and is designed for level 80 players.
  • Obtain Alexstrasza's: Gift After defeating Malygos, you will receive a key that opens a chest called Alexstrasza's Gift. This chest has a very low chance (1% to 2%) of containing the Reins of the Azure Drake mount.
  • Run the Eye of Eternity in a 25-player or 10-player group: The drop rate for the Reins of the Azure Drake mount is the same for both the 25-player and 10-player versions of the Eye of Eternity raid. However, the 25-player version is generally considered to be the faster and more efficient way to farm for the mount.
  • Be patient: The drop rate for the Reins of the Azure Drake mount is very low, so you may need to run the Eye of Eternity multiple times before you get it. Be patient and persistent, and eventually, you will be rewarded with this coveted mount.
  • Monitor the Black Market Auction House (BMAH): In addition to defeating Malygos, there is a very small chance that the Reins of the Azure Drake mount may appear for sale on the Black Market Auction House (BMAH). The BMAH is a special auction house where rare items are sold for gold.
  • Save up 20,000 gold: The Reins of the Azure Drake mount has an opening bid of 20,000 gold on the BMAH. If you are lucky enough to see the mount listed on the BMAH, you will need to have enough gold to match the opening bid.

To drop the mount, you have to complete the Eye of Eternity Raid, located on the Northrend continent, at the Borean Tundra zone.
