HOW TO DEFEAT CHRONO-LORD DEIOS?
The boss fight is challenging both on Mythic and Heroic difficulty, so you should prepare your character with the best gear before fighting it. We've prepared a little guide you should read before engaging in this final boss fight.
First of all, avoid Infinite Slayer's Bronze Exhalation frontal cone ability while side-stepping the Timeless Curse.
Chrono-Lord Deios represents the final boss encounter within Dawn of the Infinite, featuring a two-phase battle. Stage 1, labeled "We are Infinite," players must confront Infinite Keepers while aiming to reduce the boss's health to below 20%. Subsequently, Stage 2, known as "Lord of the Infinite," commences. For all roles:
- When the boss initiates the Infinity Orb ability, it's crucial to assign one individual to absorb one of the ground puddles. This strategy helps stagger the second explosion during the follow-up effect, known as Infinity Nova.
- When the boss begins the Summon Infinite Keeper channeling, it's imperative that the entire group switches their focus to quickly eliminate each Infinite Keeper before they have a chance to summon reinforcements, called Time-Displaced Troopers.
Two important points to remember:
- Firstly, each Infinite Keeper will consistently cast Infinite Blast and Chronal Burn (which can be dispelled).
- Secondly, when an Infinite Keeper is defeated, it triggers Collapsing Time Rift, causing damage to Chrono-Lord Deios.
- In Stage 2, referred to as Lord of the Infinite, it is vital to avoid the ground puddles stemming from Infinite Corruption. These puddles also leave behind Temporal Scar, which are lingering ichors that should be avoided for optimal gameplay.
- When the boss's health reaches 10%, Nozdormu will be liberated, bestowing additional powers upon you.
For DPS:
- Focus on each Infinite Keeper that comes out, as this is a much bigger priority than attacking the boss.
For Tank:
- Aim the Temporal Breath frontal away from your teammates.
- Drag the boss closer to each Infinite Keeper so your party can easily cleave them together.
For Healer:
- Infinity Orb will repeat throughout the whole fight, so make sure you have your cooldowns ready in case 2 of the debuffs go through simultaneously.
