The Dead Messenger is an excellent Exotic Grenade Launcher that deals Void damage, added by Bungie in The Witch Queen expansion.

This Exotic grenade launcher has a 2.29s reload time, is in the Energy slot, and uses Special ammo. All the weapons stats are pretty good but where it shines is Velocity: 94, Handling: 73, Reload Speed: 64, and Aim Assistance: 78.
